PHSG House Bake Off.

In celebration of our school's rich heritage, we're turning the spotlight on the culinary traditions that have been passed down through the years.

The Great 'PHSG History' Bake-Off is not just any old House competition; it's a flavourful journey through time, exploring the recipes that have delighted taste buds of students of old and that were passed on through the student-led school magazines.

The 1960's recipes and methods will be used by the constestants to revive the classic recipes and showcase the timeless appeal of traditional baking.

Our panel of judges, to include Mr 'Hollydown' and Miss 'Prueghton', will evaluate entries based on taste, presentation, creativity, and the historical accuracy of the chosen recipe. This competition is not just about baking; it's about capturing the essence of bygone eras and infusing it into every scrumptious bite.

The winner of this coveted title will not only win valuable House points, but have the honour of reproducing their winning bake and serving them on our celebration day later in the year.

Please see the presentation below for more details on how students can apply to represent their House.

Time Capsule

In a world where time seems to fly by in the blink of an eye, there's something truly magical about capturing a moment in time and preserving it for future generations to discover. As part of our 150th Birthday celebrations, we're embarking on a journey to do just that, as students will come together to create a time capsule – a treasure trove of memories, hopes, and dreams that will stand as a testament to our school community for years to come.

Our tutor groups will work together to create a student focused capsule for each year group. From photographs and artwork to handwritten letters and symbolic objects, each contribution will tell a unique story and contribute to the rich tapestry of our school's history.
