Anthony Mascott: 'Ali the Alpaca'

Hi everyone! My name is Ali the Alpaca and I’m the Anthony House mascot. I’m from Oman and lived in the USA briefly, before moving to PHSG. My name means ‘elevated’ in Arabic so let’s hope it means we will win this year. I love going on adventures - make sure to check out what I get up to on @anthony_phsg

I’ve been a Food and Textiles Teacher at Plymouth High School for eight years, and this is my third year leading Anthony House.  During that time, I’ve seen how powerful a strong house identity can be, and I’m committed to building a community where every student feels proud to wear our green colours. 

My goal is to encourage participation, celebrate effort, and help every member of Anthony recognise the impact they can make.

 

A big focus for us this year is pushing for the House Shield. Whether it’s through academic achievements, competitions, or showing outstanding House spirit, I want students to feel confident stepping forward and contributing in their own way. Our mascot, Ali the Alpaca, reminds us to stay determined, stay positive, and keep climbing together.

With teamwork, enthusiasm, and a shared sense of pride, I’m excited to lead Anthony House toward another successful year.
