Year 11 Mock Interview Day

Coronavirus hasn’t stopped our year 11 students having the opportunity to practice their job interview skills with some major employers.
We moved this year’s Mock Interview Day online and students were put through their paces over Zoom by representatives of employers including the Army, Navy, RAF, University of Plymouth Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Anritsu, Plymouth Marjon University, Wolferstans, Babcock, Santander and school Governors.
Heather Longford, Careers Leader, said, “There was a real buzz amongst the Year 11’s and I was extremely proud of the way the students embraced this new challenge. Using a virtual platform was the next best thing to being interviewed in person; it gave the students the opportunity to practice their interview skills in a time when we are unable to have visitors in school. We very much appreciate the support of all the volunteers for making this a success.”
