What are you going to do with your prom dress?
Now that prom is over we would like to ask you to consider what is going to happen to the outfit worn. If you think it is unlikely to be worn again and would like to sell it we can help! Earth Alliance, the school’s environmental and sustainability group would like to reduce the environmental impact of the prom, and we think that the use of pre-loved prom dresses/suits would be a good way to go about this.
If you are interested in selling a prom dress/suit then we would like to help you do so. What we would need from you is a photograph or photographs of the outfit (these will be edited to ensure anonymity), the size and a price. We will then compile a brochure of prom outfits to send home to the current year 10 students who may wish to buy a dress from you. Payment will be made directly to you from purchasing parents, we would facilitate the trying on of dresses and contact between both parties.
If you wish to donate your dress/suit we will be happy to take these from you, they can be used to help students who may otherwise struggle to afford an outfit and any profits made from any sales of these dresses would go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
