Year 11's have been refining their interview skills for their futures

On Tuesday 17th January 2023, our Year 11 students had the opportunity to practice their job interview skills during a mock interview.

We were delighted to be able to welcome some of the City’s major employers to Plymouth High School for Girls.
The students were put through their paces by representatives of employers including the Army, Navy, Equans, Plymouth Marjon University, Wolferstans, Babcock, Achievement Training and St James’s Place.

Alan Jenkins, Head of Sixth Form said:

“Whilst running the group reflective session it was fantastic to see that every single student had found the interview process a really beneficial one. Students are now in a far better position to effectively tackle their next interview after learning so much about the process via this experience”.

Heather Longford, Careers Leader, added:

“The students were very positive about the experience and found it a great confidence boost. We very much appreciate the support of all the volunteers for making this a success.”
