The Pollenize planter project

Abi and the Earth Alliance Team have been busy organising and helping to manufacture a batch of bee wild flower planters for their local community. Do you know of any local businesses, primary schools, nursing homes, offices etc with space to accommodate our bee planters?

The Pollenize planter project is a community interest project created by Abi, Year 12, and Pollenize Plymouth to improve urban bee pollination in Plymouth.
Abi, who received the funding jointly with Pollenize Plymouth CIC and has been supported in the project by Mr Watson and Earth Alliance PHSG. Over the past 2 years it has been planned, run and has resulted in the formation of nearly 30 planters containing wildflower seeds which will be situated around the school, and in the local community.

If you know of any companies, schools, places that could make use of these planters please contact Mr Watson. We are very eager to spread the message of improving urban pollination to support bees in our local communities.

We have nearly 30 Bee Planters, which will all be topped up with soil and ready to go with packs of wild flower seeds.

Do you know of any local businesses, primary schools, nursing homes, offices etc with space to accommodate our bee planters, these are the sort of establishments we are looking for or perhaps you feel your garden could be brightened up with a planter? Planters will be issued on a first come first served basis. It would be even better if those interested could collect them from the school.

The measurements of the planters are approx.: 1000mm x 250 x 240mm in height.

Abi has arranged for a couple to go to a business at Derriford, and is hopeful to get one or two out to St Luke’s Hospice.
