Network Rail update

Due to urgent repairs to required to a railway bridge, the line between Gunnislake and Calstock is currently closed. The line is expected to be closed until 22nd September 2024.

Due to urgent repairs to required to a railway bridge, the line between Gunnislake and Calstock is currently closed. Network Rail engineers discovered the issues following a routine inspection.

GWR services will operate between Plymouth and Calstock only, with replacement road transport running between Calstock and Gunnislake.

Buses from Calstock will depart once the train from Plymouth arrives, and all customers for Gunnislake have boarded. More information is available at www.gwr.com/check, including on replacement transport departure times from Gunnislake – replacement buses from Gunnislake to Calstock will not be running to train times.

The line is expected to be closed until 22nd September, and we will let you know of any further updates. We are very sorry for the disruption to journeys and thank you for your patience as Network Rail undertakes these repairs.

If you can share amongst your networks that would be much appreciated, and as ever if there’s anything we can do to help, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best wishes
