We are absolutely delighted to hear that St Matts Church has been awarded an incredible £692,077 from the Place of Worship Renewal Fund towards its much-needed roof and stonework repair project.  Plymouth High School for Girls enjoys close links to St Matts and so we were thrilled to support their application with a letter of endorsement.

This funding will help preserve a much-loved part of our community for generations to come and behind the scenes, planning is well underway, with architects developing plans and work due to begin in January. Soon, the days of placing buckets around the church to catch the rainwater will be a thing of the past!

Congratulations to everyone involved in securing this funding.  We know how much hard work has gone into the application and the preparation for this important project. We look forward to following the progress of the restoration and joining in the celebrations when the work is complete.

Well done, St Matts, and thank you for all that you do for our school and wider community.
