PHSG achieves 'Bronze' AI Quality Mark

A milestone recognition of our responsible and ethical approach to artificial intelligence in education
We are delighted to share that Plymouth High School for Girls has been awarded the AI Quality Mark (Bronze Award) in recognition of our growing use of artificial intelligence to enhance teaching, learning and professional practice.
This places us as one of the first schools within our Trust to achieve this award, and notably the first state school in the South West to receive this recognition.
The AI Quality Mark celebrates schools that are embedding AI in a thoughtful, ethical and impactful way. At PHSG, this includes work on:
- supporting staff to explore AI tools to reduce workload
- developing students’ understanding of AI and digital literacy
- ensuring safe, responsible and purposeful use of emerging technologies
Achieving 'Bronze' reflects the strong foundations already in place across the school, alongside our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and the collaborative effort behind it. We are now looking ahead to the next stage of our journey and will be working towards achieving Silver in the next academic year, further embedding AI to support both staff and students.
