Gym & Dance Festival - 02/04/2026

Our recent Gym & Dance Festival was a celebration of movement and creativity, featuring everything from gymnastics, ballet and modern street dance to a light show and a surprise confetti cannon finale
Latimer opened the festival with an imaginative performance, telling their story through the eyes of ghosts caught between different eras, determined to remain rooted in time.

Kendall followed with a lively piece titled Back to the Festival, featuring a malfunctioning time machine – the Ken-DeLorean – introducing familiar faces who had progressed from their Junior roles to House Captains.

Temple’s performance was a festival highlight, combining breathtaking acrobatics with elegant ballet, African dance performed in heels – all topped off with a hilarious ‘cameo’ from Mr Jenkins that had the audience howling!

Anthony brought the festival to a close with a nostalgic journey through the years, guided by the wonderfully memorable characters Mavis, Nora and Eileen. What began as a gentle and reflective finale ended with an unexpected burst from a confetti cannon – much to the surprise of those seated at the front – poor Mr Underdown!

Each House absolutely blew us away – but the overall 2026 winners were:

Throughout the festival, students demonstrated exceptional teamwork, planning, and confidence. From seamless transitions to perfect comedy timing, each House brilliantly showcased their creativity and enthusiasm. And the supportive atmosphere in Newman Hall highlighted the strong sense of community that makes our school so special.
And finally, special thanks goes to Year 11 students Lily-Mae and Livia for taking the official photographs - you did an absolutely incredible job!
A huge well done to all! Our festivals are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the talent and individual personalities of our students, and everyone who took part should be extremely proud of what they produced – Mr Underdown
