Year 10 student shortlisted in Trust-wide competition

We are delighted to share that Neva O, Year 10, has been shortlisted in the prestigious TSAT School Food Influencer Competition - an exciting challenge inviting Year 10 students across the Trust to design three new menu items for school refectories. The goal of the competition is to create dishes that provide the essential nutrition that students need to stay energised, focused, and perform at their very best, and the overall winner will have their menu rolled out to all TSAT schools later in the year!
As part of her entry, Neva has created a nutritious breakfast option, a wholesome snack, and a refreshing hydration drink. While the competition is still underway and the details of her creations must remain a closely guarded secret for now, we can confidently say that her ideas impressed the judging panel and showcased both creativity and a strong understanding of balanced nutrition.
To support students through the process, Innovate Food Group chef, Ben Denton, visited the school to meet with Neva personally. He discussed her concepts in depth, offering professional insights and a few tailored suggestions to help refine and elevate her dishes as she progresses to the next stage of the competition.
We are incredibly proud of Neva’s achievement so far. Her dedication, imagination, and willingness to develop her ideas further make her a wonderful representative of our school.
Neva’s understanding of nutrition and healthy eating at this young age is inspiring, we couldn’t be more proud of the thoughtful menu she has produced – Mr Underdown
PHSG staff and students wish Neva every success as she moves forward in the competition, we cannot wait to see where her culinary creativity takes her next!
