U14 Hockey team success!

Our PHSG U14 hockey team are through to the regional finals!
On Tuesday 10th February, two PHSG U14 teams travelled to Stoke Damerel to compete in the inaugural U14 Devon Schools Hockey Tournament - and what a day it was!
The U14 “A” team, made up of Year 8s and 9s, played outstanding hockey throughout the day and finished the entire tournament undefeated. Their superb attacking play and rock-solid defending took them all the way to the final where they faced Ivybridge. With composure and teamwork, they secured a brilliant 2–0 victory, earning the title: PHSG U14 Hockey Team — Best in Devon!
Their win means the team now progresses to the U14 State School Regional Finals in Exeter. Watch this space for updates as they continue their journey!
Our U14 “B” team, made up entirely of talented Year 7 students, showed incredible determination and skill as they battled against much older opposition. Their hard work paid off as they reached the playoffs, which ended in a nail‑biting set of shuffles. With fantastic goals, superb saves, and the teams still level at the end, it was agreed that both sides deserved 3rd place! A huge well done to the team!
Thank you and congratulations to all the students who took part:
