HST handover
Welcoming our 2026 Head Student Team!
We would like to take a moment to thank our outgoing 2025 Head Student Team for their incredible dedication and leadership. Throughout their tenure, they have worked diligently to represent the student voice, lead initiatives, and embody the values of our school. Here's what they had to say about their time as HST:
"I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the HST this year. Although the role comes with plenty of exciting events, such as presenting Carols and Mince Pies, the highlight of my time as Student Council Leader has been our fortnightly meetings with our fantastic Student Council. Catching up with the members, listening to their feedback, and watching them grow in confidence is certainly the most rewarding aspect of the role. Being part of the HST has taught me so many valuable skills, such as the importance of teamwork and time management, and has also been the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had. I hope the new HST enjoy it just as much as we did!"
- Annabelle, Head Student - Student Council
"My favourite part of HST this year has been speaking at open evenings; it's always exciting to see the potential new Year 7s! Being part of the 2025 HST team has been incredible, especially working alongside Annabelle, Tegan, and Nour, who I quickly became good friends with this year. One thing I've learnt during my time on the HST is that it's okay to ask for help and to use any support offered to you, especially when planning and running events - there's just too much for one person to do alone. And to enjoy it! The year goes by so quickly; before you know it, you'll be getting ready to hand over to the next team."
- Emily, Deputy Head Student - Charity and Wellbeing
"Being head of Diversity and Inclusivity has been very rewarding and fulfilling. I have enjoyed every aspect of it and if I could go back I would 100% do it again. The part that I have enjoyed the most is making positive changes within the school that will hopefully last a lifetime, and seeing those changes actively happening around the school makes me feel very proud of my work and school community. It has been a learning experience and has helped me develop many leadership skills that I had no clue that I had; one of them is learning to be comfortable while speaking to an audience through events such as assemblies and open evenings. Being part of HST has helped me overcome any anxiety or fear and developed my confidence. Thank you to everyone who has helped and to my fellow HST members - and good luck to the future HST. I know they will be amazing!"
- Nour, Deputy Head Student - Diversity and Inclusivity
"Throughout my time as Deputy Head Student and editor of ‘Hear Me Out’, I have most enjoyed being able to give back to the school and design a magazine I could be proud of. I have loved building my friendships with the other Head Students and looking back on where I started through open evenings. I have learnt how to manage many tasks at once and carry more responsibility. I am grateful for this opportunity and I wish the future HST the absolute best."
- Tegan, Deputy Head Student - School Magazine
Looking ahead, we are very excited to welcome our incoming 2026 Head Student Team - Ellen, Catarina, Zara and Beatrice. This is the start of an important journey - one that calls for responsibility, creativity, and the ability to inspire others. We have every confidence that they will rise to the challenge and continue to be outstanding role models for our student body. Be sure to check the main HST page in the New Year for full introductions and updates from our incoming team!
