Nasal Flu Vaccination Programme – Autumn 2025

We would like to inform parents and guardians that the annual nasal flu vaccination for school-aged children is now due. The team will be visiting PHSG on the 20th November – parental consent must be submitted by 18th November using the link in the article below. 

This programme is delivered by Kernow Health CIC’s School Age Immunisation Service on behalf of NHS England, and will take place in schools across Cornwall and Devon.

The flu vaccine is a quick and painless nasal spray known as LAIV (Live Attenuated Influenza Vaccine). It helps protect children from flu and reduces the risk of spreading the virus to vulnerable family members and the wider community.

Who Is Eligible?

For the 2025/26 season, all children from Reception to Year 11 are eligible for the free nasal flu vaccine.
An inactivated flu injection is available for children who cannot receive the nasal spray.

School Visit Date

The immunisation team will visit our school on 20th November 2025.
Please ensure you complete the online consent form by midday on 18th November 2025.
