PHSG Sports Day 2025

Plymouth High School for Girls celebrated another fantastic Sports Day at Brickfields last week, filled with energy, excitement, and incredible house spirit.

The event saw students giving their all in a variety of track and field events, cheered on by their peers and staff. The atmosphere was electric as houses came together to support their competitors, making it a truly memorable day for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to our wonderful PTFA and canteen team for keeping spirits high with delicious treats and refreshments throughout the day – they were very much appreciated by students and staff alike.

This year was particularly special as four school records were broken:
🏅 Junior Long Jump – Willow Y: 4.25m
🏅 Junior Hurdles – Tilly D: 12.78 seconds (breaking a record that stood since 2001!)
🏅 Junior 100m – Alison O: 12.99 seconds (beating a record set in 1996!)
🏅 Junior Continuous Relay – Kendall House (team effort and record-breaking pace!)

The winning House for Sports day 2025 is... KENDALL!

Congratulations to all our athletes for their dedication and effort, and well done to everyone who took part and supported their house on the day.

💛💚❤️💙 What an inspiring day of sport and teamwork at PHSG – here’s to even more records next year!
