Wonderful Water
Water is everywhere,
So tranquil and blue,
It holds many secrets,
From all with no clue
Water flows as a river,
Meanders and winds,
Or trickles and dances,
Down the path it finds
Water cascading downwards,
Accelerating towards the abyss,
Waterfalls so wondrous,
The chasm like death’s kiss
Water seemingly endless,
Waves crashing ashore,
It’s both peaceful and ravenous,
Home to marine life and more
Water spills from the clouds,
In multiple form,
may it be snow, sleet or rain,
Or relentless in a storm
Water so vital,
Needed to survive,
The foundations of all life,
Supporting us to thrive
Water trickles as a tear,
Down the faces of the sorrow,
Ruining someone’s day,
Taking the happiness to borrow
Water is everywhere,
So old and so true,
As immense as the calm sea,
To a tiny droplet of morning dew.
