  • Update from the Immunisation Team

    The School Aged Immunisation Team will be visiting PHSG on Monday 11th July to conduct the Year 9 routine vaccinations for Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio (TDiP) and Meningitis ACWY (MenACWY). All Year 9 parents must complete the online form to either opt in or opt out of this vaccination.

    Student of the week: Freya, 8L, ''For her organised approach to revision as she prepares for the end of year 8 examinations and for taking pride in her work. Freya has impressed me with her range of strategies and ipad apps as she is revising with flash card games using her revision lists from her teachers really well.'' Nominated by Miss Freeman. Awarded 10 House points.
    Class of the week: PE10H Class with Mrs Goolden ''For accepting the challenge in PE today of abseiling down the rockface at Mountbatten. The group showed incredible resilience, determination and support of each other in order to descend the 60ft drop and every student successfully completed the abseil.''

  • Year 7's Super 8 Team

    Eight of our Year 7 students attended the Plymouth Schools Super 8 competition held at Brickfields on Wednesday 11th May.  They combined with a boys team from St Boniface school and our scores were put together as one team.  All the girls put everything into their events and were a credit to the school.  The results have come through, and we came second across the whole city, which is fantastic!  A huge well done to the girls that took part.

  • PHSG Student and Class of the week

    Class of the week: Silver DofE Team. ''For their outstanding efforts last weekend. They completed three days of gruelling walking on Dartmoor, camping overnight on the Friday and Saturday. They learnt a range of skills from navigating with a map and compass, First Aid, Emergency Procedures, use of radios, cooking and other camp craft skills. They persevered on some very challenging terrain and overcame tired and sore feet to complete the three days of training in preparation for their Qualifying Expedition in June – they were all fantastic and a credit to the school, their families and themselves!''
