Five of our colleagues and two PHSG students competed at the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS) national competition this weekend, representing the South-West. The 38 strong chorus achieved a huge score of 74.4% and are now 9th in the country!
Old girl, Emily, runs her own fitness business in Plymouth. She has just won Best Fitness Business in Devon 2022 at the Englands Business Awards! She has now been put through to the national competition and ask our PHSG community to share her success and vote for her.

We are currently recruiting for a Science Technician to join Plymouth High School for Girls. Successful applicants will be able to provide general and practical support in science laboratories and provide high quality support to the senior science technician and science teaching staff.
Caitlyn was invited to train at the Royal Navy Riding Club at the Chard Equestrian Centre, and has secured herself a position to compete in the RAF Championships next term.
On Tuesday after school a group of A level Art students visited local portrait painter Jo Beer's latest exhibition in the Theatre Royal. Jo then joined the group the next day in our Art room for a workshop where she demonstrated working in oil paint.

Plymouth High has become the most successful DofE (Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme) centre out of 442 schools, colleges and other DofE centres in 2021/22 within the South West.
We are delighted to invite prospective Year 12 students and parents to our Sixth Form Open Evening. The evening will take place on Wednesday, 9th November between 16.30 - 18.30.
On Sunday the 9th October, Team Hummingbird took to the tracks and competed in the Greenpower Education Trust Formula 24 finals at the legendary Goodwood racing track.
