Maya's tumbling achievment
Published 22/02/24Following on from her silver medal success before Christmas, Maya, 8A, who tumbles for Zero Gravity Academy of Gymnastics and Trampolining, has just won a gold medal at a competition in Milton Keynes. This has led to further training opportunities with some top level coaches. Well done Maya!

Published 09/02/24The award was given to Tilly-Marie's enthusiasm towards the topics discussed each session (eg: first aid, healthy relationships and 10 hour first aid). It was also given for her ability to share such high quality information about each of these topics, from all of her own research.

Student and Class of the week
Published 09/02/24Student of the week: Princess, 7A. ''For their exceptional performance in chemistry experiments. They not only excelled in safety and teamwork but also volunteered to organise equipment during lunch to assist the teacher and science technician. They then gave a motivating talk to peers about responsible conduct showing great leadership skills'' Nomimated by Miss Cook.
Also nominated by by Mrs Brown: ''She is always the first to put herself forward to help other students and teachers. She participates in a wide range of extra-curricular competitions and activities and is always encouraging others to do so as well. She really exemplifies PHSG spirit!'' Well done Princess! Awarded 10 House points.
Class of the week: U15 Indoor Cricket Team. ''They beat DHSG and 3 other teams in the Plymouth round to qualify for the county finals. They played so well and despite being a mix of year 9s and 10s, they got to know each other during the tournament and were really supportive of each other.'' Nominated by Mrs Luscombe.

PHSG U15 Indoor Cricket team made the County finals
Published 07/02/24A team of Year 9 and 10 students competed in the West Devon indoor cricket tournament at Marjons this week. They won 4 of their matches, including strong teams from Ivybridge and DHSG, and narrowly lost to Okehampton who were the overall winners. Both Okehampton and PHSG will represent the area at the County finals in Exeter in March.
