As part of PHSG’s preparation for this week’s General Election, members of our Sixth Form helped raise awareness and engagement by hosting a debate, taking on the roles of spokesperson for each of the main political parties. With a large audience taking up much of the Newman Hall, students from all year groups had an opportunity to put questions to the parties regarding a broad range of issues ranging from tuition fees and mental health to transgender rights and Gaza in what proved to be, at times, a very lively and enlightening debate.

We are delighted to celebrate Lilia's (10K) achievement in being awarded as the cadet of the year for 2024, at her B Company, Army Cadets, Mutey Barracks. 

Last week PHSG will be taking part TSArT's week. This is a trust wide campaign to encourage students and staff across the Trust to celebrate and immerse themselves in the Arts. 

Plymouth High School for Girls is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Examinations Officer to run all aspects of internal and external examinations.

Student of the week: Kyla, 10A, 'For an excellent French speaking test - the best in the class so far!' Nominated by Mrs Carter, awarded 10 House points.

Class of the week: Carnegie Book Group, Y8 & 9. 'Students’ hard work and dedication preparing for the book award ceremony took bravery to perform their presentation in front of a large audience of other school groups and published writers' Nominated by Mrs Harris.

Our wonderful PTFA are looking to recycle pre-loved uniform and are hoping that people with good condition current school uniform might be happy to donate it.  If you have any current uniform items (not blouses though) and you would like to donate, please bring your items to reception.
