Today, students and staff at Plymouth High School for Girls are celebrating after receiving their A-Level grades.

Khalia, Evie and Emma, Year 9. ''Fantastic rehearsal of a creative performance of a scene with the witches in Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. The girls impressed me with their creative, thoughtful and precise use of mime to make the meaning of the text clear, their inventive way of creating sound and their maturity and reflection when responding to feedback to improve the performance. They showed ambition in wanting to understand unfamiliar vocabulary and made excellent decisions about how to represent this dramatically.'' Nominated by Miss Grant.

Our PTFA have been hard at work fundraising this year, and we’re delighted to share one of the fantastic projects they’ve supported – brand-new netball dresses for our teams to wear at fixtures and tournaments.

During Curriculum Enrichment Week, PHSG’s Fun with Food students welcomed a very special guest into the classroom - virtually. Bestselling author and food stylist Rukmini Iyer joined the group via Teams to share her journey from law graduate to celebrated cookbook writer. She spoke about how her passion for cooking and an eye for presentation led her into the world of food styling, and eventually to publishing a series of popular one-pan recipe books. Her advice and stories offered an exciting glimpse into the creative side of food.
