This week, our school proudly took part in TSArTs Week, a Trust-wide celebration of creativity, confidence, and community through the arts. The event was all about giving every child a voice, showcasing talent, and bringing our shared values to life in imaginative, expressive, and joyful ways.

The week followed different creative themes, and our students and staff embraced the opportunity to express themselves during our lunchtime workshops in fun and meaningful ways.

We are delighted to share that Plymouth High School for Girls has been awarded first place in this year’s prestigious SWAT Challenge Cup, a competition that brings together grammar schools from across the South West of England to tackle complex, real-world challenges through critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation.

We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant with Reception duties to join Plymouth High School for Girls. We are looking for a well-organised, efficient and enthusiastic person to join our team to assist in supporting the Office Manager by providing a range of administrative support and reception cover.

Vethumya, 9A. ''Vethumya's End of Year English Literature essay was incredibly impressive - she joined the school late, therefore only receiving a small portion of the teaching on 'Great Expectations'. Despite this, she tirelessly worked in the lead up to the exams, bringing me multiple mock essays to check and she was eager to act on feedback. She ended up scoring the highest mark for her essay in 9D, an achievement which she should be very proud of as the essay demonstrated a strong argument and thoughtful reflections about the text that were supported by deep analysis and integration of context.'' Nominated by Miss Grant. Awarded 10 House points.

To mark National Refugee Week (16th–22nd June), we’re highlighting a powerful selection of books inspired by the real-life experiences of people forced to leave their homes. These stories offer important insights into courage, resilience, and hope—come and explore them in the library.
