Hi everyone! In these very challenging and unusual times, we wanted to continue to raise awareness about the environment and how our actions can affect it. In honour of World Oceans Day on June 8th, we have put together a booklet about plastics and the ocean and what you can do help! We hope you can take some time out of your day to have a quick read.
Last Saturday Amélie, who is in year 7 Latimer, took part in the Big Mid Summer Sleep Out with 27th Plymouth Scouts via Zoom to raise awareness about homelessness and support Shekinah’s Mission in Plymouth. As of this moment there is an amazing £1853 (plus gift aid) on the fundraising page. As you are aware it was pouring down with rain but she managed to stay dry all night although her shelter collapsed.
Year 10 students, Amy and Helen have picked up their Starpack Awards for their entries into the sustainable shampoo competition, sponsored by Logoplaste. Amy achieved a gold award and Helen achieved a silver award.

PE Department
Year 10 students have been set a couch to 5k style challenge over the last few weeks in PE and some of them have already exceeded that target. We are hoping to do a school 5k event in October so will hopefully have a really strong team to represent PHSG. Keep up the great work girls.
