Update on strikes from National Rail

A reminder from National Rail that the ASLEF (train drivers) will strike this week on Wednesday, 1 February and Friday 3 February. There will be very limited services on these dates, with some areas having no services at all.

All online journey planners are now updated, including the journey checker on our dedicated strike page www.gwr.com/strike The majority of services will run normally on Thursday 2 February – with some small changes to early morning and late evening services.

We are asking customers to check before travel, and anything you can do to help encourage that would be very much appreciated.  There is also further advice on our dedicated webpage about how to claim refunds or how to use tickets on alternative dates.

It is also worth noting that Transport for Wales and Transport for London (Elizabeth Line) services are not affected by this strike, and will run normally.

Thank you again for your help and do let me know if there is anything that needs clarifying or if you need more detailed advice.

Best wishes

Jane
