This week is National Field Work Week, supported by the Geographical Association

The theme for this year is "change'' which has fitted wonderfully into our Year 10 GCSE Geography urban fieldwork which took place on Tuesday and Thursday this week. #nationalfieldworkweek

Fieldwork is a compulsory element to the Geography GCSE, it has also given the students an opportunity to go out into their local area to study and collect data based around this year's theme.

Students were studying the change in the city centre and the "Barcode" building, before heading off into Central Park to evaluate the success of the recent changes and regeneration of the area.

Mr Graves, Miss Boyle and Mrs Nutter were extremely impressed with the students resilience to the very traditional British weather of either very warm or very damp conditions. A true experience of what field work can really be like.
