Interview practice for our year 11's

We were delighted to be able to welcome back some of the City’s major employers to Plymouth High yesterday for our Year 11 Mock interview event. Our Year 11 students had the opportunity to practice their job interview skills during a mock interview.

The students were put through their paces by representatives of employers including the Army, Navy, University of Plymouth Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Plymouth Marjon University, Wolferstans, Babcock and Santander.

Alan Jenkins, Head of Sixth Form said,

“Whilst running the debrief session it was fantastic to see that every single student had found the interview process a really beneficial one. Students are now in a far better position to effectively tackle their next interview after learning so much about the process via this experience”.

Heather Longford, Careers Leader, added,

“It has been so lovely to be able to run our Annual Mock Interview Event back in school this year! The students were very positive about the experience and found it a great confidence boost. We very much appreciate the support of all the volunteers for making this a success.”
