Network Rail update

I’m getting in touch as Network Rail are carrying out rail improvement works on the line between St Austell and Liskeard from Monday 27th March to Friday 31st March.

Trains will be replaced by buses between these two stations, with journey times longer and train services either side of the works running to an amended timetable, including for services at Plymouth. More information about the works are available at www.gwr.com/upgrade.

Journey planners have been updated for Monday 27 – Wednesday 29 and for Friday 31 March, or journeys can be checked at www.gwr.com/check.

Thursday 30th March is also a strike date announced by the RMT, and we do not expect to be able to run any services (or rail replacement buses) in Cornwall, and at best only an extremely limited service at Plymouth. Customers including students and staff should find alternative means of travel.

We would be very grateful if you can make sure your staff and students are aware of the works next week and the amended train times.
