We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievements of Margot (8K), whose hard work, talent and dedication to hockey continue to impress both on and off the pitch.

Margot is an enthusiastic and committed hockey player who regularly plays for and Captains her local club, Ocean City Hockey Club. Demonstrating her versatility and determination, she represents both the U14 team and also competes in the women's league.

Margot was selected to represent at county level, recognising her skill and potential as one of the region's most promising young players. Building on this achievement, Margot was then encouraged to trial for the West Panthers, a regional squad representing the South West at national tournaments. After a rigorous selection process, she earned a place in the team and was subsequently chosen as Captain by the coaching staff – a testament not only to her ability but also to her leadership qualities.

Earlier in July, Margot travelled to Nottingham to compete in the UK Regional U13 Championships. Over 3 days of intense hockey, the team faced some of the strongest young players from across the country while competing in the extreme temperatures we’ve been experiencing. Throughout the tournament, the West Panthers demonstrated outstanding resilience, determination and teamwork.

One of the highlights of the competition came when Margot was voted players' player of the Tournament by her fellow teammates. This special award reflects not only her performance on the pitch but also the respect and admiration she has earned from her peers.
