Celebrating the people who make a lasting difference
National ‘Thank a Teacher’ Day gives us the perfect opportunity to recognise the dedication, compassion and commitment shown by staff across our school community. Every day, our teachers go above and beyond – not only supporting academic success but also caring deeply for the wellbeing of every student.
A Plymouth High parent recently shared their appreciation for the care and support their daughter received during the recent exam period. They described how, after experiencing significant anxiety during mock exams, their child was met with “genuine kindness and compassion” from Mr Law and Miss Marcer-Griffiths who supported both her emotional wellbeing and academic progress, as well as invaluable support from Mrs Payne (SENCO) and our exams officer, Mrs James.
The parent expressed gratitude that,
When she needed help the most, she was met with kindness, understanding, and support at PHSG.
This message is a powerful reminder of the difference that teachers make. We are incredibly proud of our staff for the empathy and professionalism they show every day, and of our students for their resilience and determination in overcoming challenges.
On National ‘Thank a Teacher’ Day, we extend our thanks to all colleagues who make our wonderful school such a supportive and inspiring place to learn and grow.
