Where music meets art: Pianos as canvas

After receiving an incredibly creative selection to choose from, here are the House winners!
Temple House: Belle (7T)

Latimer House: Erin (8L)
Anthony House: Kai (12A)
Kendall House: Kenzie (9K)

As a school, we are excited to bring these designs to life. We have four upright pianos across the site, and each one will be painted to reflect a winning House design, transforming our shared spaces into vibrant celebrations of student creativity.
At PHSG, we believe in celebrating creativity wherever we find it. That might be through artwork, musical compositions, or even a beautifully elegant solution to a maths problem – yes, I did just say that! Creativity is everywhere: in nature, in science and in traditional painting. Art is so much more than what we see on the surface; it’s about ideas, curiosity, expression and joy.
As contemporary artist Olafur Eliasson reminds us:
“Art is not an object, but an experience.”
These pianos will be more than instruments – they will be experiences that reflect imagination, collaboration and the creative spirit of our school community.
Thank you to everyone who took part, and congratulations once again to our winners.
