Rosie hits the right notes!

Rosie’s dedication to her music has led to a series of outstanding achievements worth celebrating

We are delighted to share the wonderful achievements of Year 8 student Rosie B who has had an exceptional term in her musical pursuits.
Rosie has successfully passed her Grade 5 flute exam with Merit, demonstrating both skill and dedication to her instrument. This is an excellent accomplishment and reflects the hard work she has put into her music this term. In addition, Rosie achieved 2nd place (Honours) in the Grade 5 and 6 Woodwind Solo Class at the Cornwall Music Festival earlier this month, adjudicated by Dr Mark Tanner (composer and author) and Mr Christopher Daley (University of Winchester Music Centre); what a fantastic result!
Rosie comes from a long line of talented musicians and takes inspiration from both her mother and grandfather. She started playing the flute at just 6 years old and hopes to one day travel the world performing with an orchestra.
Rosie’s family have expressed how proud they are of her achievements and how much she enjoys being part of our school community. We are equally proud of her commitment, enthusiasm, and the positive example she sets for others.
A huge well done to Rosie – we look forward to seeing her continue to flourish in her musical journey!
