Celebrating Eid al-Fitr

A heart‑warming day of shared traditions, community, and student‑led celebration
Today, students came together to celebrate Eid al‑Fitr with a joyful blend of food, creativity, and community spirit. The event, organised by Deputy Head Student, Zara, with the Inclusivity & Diversity team and supported by Miss Hoffman, was a tremendous success and drew enthusiastic participation from Year groups across the school.
The celebrations began at breaktime with a popular bake sale, where students enjoyed a delicious selection of sweet and savoury delights. The stall was bustling from the second it opened, with excited students keen to secure themselves a treat from the impressive variety of home-baked goods.

At lunchtime, the festivities continued with henna art and craft activities, offering students a chance to explore traditions and discuss the cultural significance of Eid. The atmosphere was inclusive and welcoming, with mixed groups of students trying new crafts together.
Thanks to the dedication of the Inclusivity & Diversity team, the celebration not only showcased the beauty of Eid al‑Fitr but also highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering inclusion and understanding.
The wonderful turnout – and the photographs taken throughout the day – reflect how much the students value the opportunity to celebrate together.
Special thanks to our Sixth Form henna artists: Zara, Tegan, Faiza and Naila and their hand models, Fleur (9K), Charlotte I (8T), Joyce L (8T), and Issey S (9K).
