A final message from our 2025 Earth Alliance team
"Running Earth Alliance has been incredible. We've enjoyed it so much and are sad to pass it on but believe the Earth Alliance 2026 team will be just as amazing.
Our bug boxes are the pride and joy of Earth Alliance 2025, which should hopefully appear around the school site soon. We also started the construction of sock monkeys as an engaging method of recycling old textiles into something small and decorative. Making sure the stuffing for the sock monkeys had been responsibly sourced was a challenge and multiple options were looked into. Hopefully, the new team will be able to run it for those who want to continue. And we are looking forward to hearing what else they get up to!
One of the best bits about being an Earth Alliance leader is running the lunchtime club. Finding engaging activities such as bug boxes and quizzes is easily the most enjoyable aspect. We would advise the new leaders to listen to what the Earth Alliance group want to do and try and incorporate reasonable things they'll enjoy into the priorities. It should hopefully increase engagement within the club and engagement is easily the most important part of Earth Alliance. It's been a privilege to work with the younger supporting their passion for the environment.
Good luck to Earth Alliance 2026. It's been fantastic!" - Evelyn and William
Evelyn and William have now formally handed over to our 2026 EA team - Caitlin and Kyla. We are excited to hear more about the new ideas and initiatives they will be introducing to our school community. Be sure to check the main EA page for a full introduction to the 2026 team early in the new year!
