Awards Presentation Evening
Annual awards presentation evening with guest speaker, Naomi Agbobli.
On 17th December, we were delighted to welcome back both past and current students for our annual GCSE and A Level Awards Presentation evening. This special event is one of the highlights of the school year, offering us the opportunity to recognise the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of our students.
Families, staff, and guests joined us in celebrating as students collected their official examination certificates, along with a range of awards and trophies for attainment, effort, and achievement. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces return to share their successes and reconnect with the PHSG community.
We were honoured to be joined by our guest speaker, Naomi Agbobli, a former PHSG student and member of the Head Student Team in 2021. Naomi is now in her final year at King’s College London, where she is completing her degree in a highly competitive field. During her time at PHSG, Naomi was known for her leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to wider school life.
Naomi has recently been recognised as one of the 150 Future Black Female Leaders in the UK, an achievement that reflects her drive, passion, and dedication. Her messages about perseverance, the value of multiple career paths, and placing no limits on yourself were powerful and resonated deeply with our students.
It was wonderful to hear how our school motto continues to guide her, and how PHSG helped build the foundations of the person she is today, and the person she is still becoming. Naomi reminded us that we are all multi‑faceted, that we should keep an open perspective, and that we each have the right to own our own path was incredibly meaningful.
Her presentation finished with the challenge to those in attendance to aim high and then aim higher truly inspired our current students. She encouraged us all to recognise that we are capable of far more than we often believe.
Her inspiring address encouraged students to embrace challenge, stay curious, and continue striving for excellence in all they pursue. Her words served as a powerful reminder of the exciting futures that await our students and the impact of perseverance, ambition, and hard work.
We are incredibly proud of every student who was recognised at the ceremony. Their awards reflect not only outstanding academic commitment but also resilience, character, and the determination to achieve their personal best.
On behalf of everyone at PHSG, we offer our warmest congratulations to all certificate recipients and award winners. We look forward to seeing what they accomplish next and wish them every success in their future pathways.
