Celebrating Creativity: TSArTs Week at Plymouth High School for Girls

This week, our school proudly took part in TSArTs Week, a Trust-wide celebration of creativity, confidence, and community through the arts. The event was all about giving every child a voice, showcasing talent, and bringing our shared values to life in imaginative, expressive, and joyful ways.

The week followed different creative themes, and our students and staff embraced the opportunity to express themselves during our lunchtime workshops in fun and meaningful ways.

🎤 Words

Led by our fabulous English teacher, Miss Grant, students were invited to take part in a "cut-up" poetry activity centred around the theme of kindness. Using extracts from poems and prose, students cut and rearranged words to create their own thoughtful and inspiring pieces. It was wonderful to see such creativity and compassion come to life through language!

On Tuesday, our school grounds were transformed into a vibrant canvas! Hosted by the Art Department, students took to the outdoors with chalk in hand to create stunning visual pieces representing thinking and learning. Working in House teams, they created colourful, imaginative artworks that symbolised the brain in action. It was not only a celebration of artistic expression, but also a fun and collaborative experience — with points awarded to the most creative House!
