PHSOGA Annual General Meeting

The AGM of the association took place at the school on Monday 2nd November. About 40 members were present for what was a very enjoyable and informative evening. We were fortunate to hear about the way the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme is run in the school. Following a donation of £700 by the Association , Mr Leon Graves ( ably assisted by two of the students presently working towards their Gold Award- Eleanor Eastman and Alex Muxwaly - informed us of how the funds have been used to augment and expand the scheme within the school.

We enjoyed an excellent buffet supper, and reviewed the activities of the Association during the past year. As always, it was a pleasure to welcome the Head Teacher, who is always so supportive.

The other two events this year will be the annual dinner on Thus.17th March, which will be held at the school, and the Summer Social ( date to be confirmed). We look forward to seeing as many members as possible at these events.

The Summer Social evening was a great success with 53 people attending.

Mrs Eales White, Head of History, set up a display of old school registers, log books and photos for members to peruse. She asked for any school reports, timetables or exercise books that members may have kept, showing subjects studied and format of a school day.

Mr Leon Graves also gave a very interesting talk on the School's involvement with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, which is now available to the girls. This may be a project that our group can help with in the future.

Annual Dinner 2014

The Annual Dinner was held at the New Continental Hotel, Plymouth on Friday 28th March 2014. It was a very successful event which we all enjoyed.
