7T's hockey team success
After receiving silver medals in the In2Hockey U12 Devon County Championships, the Ocean City Hockey Club (OCHC) U12 girls' team, that include Amelia, Freya, Tegen and Charlotte, all from 7T (what a team!), represented Devon on the 21st April at the In2Hockey West Area Finals at Millfields school in Street.
The OCHC team had an excellent day and came 4th in their group, with Amelia saving 8 goals in the last match alone!
We are delighted to share that Amelia has recently won the Ocean City Hockey Club (OCHC) Junior Goalkeeper of the Season Award for 2023/24 at the End of Season Awards. The winner of this award is chosen by the Club Coaches, who recognised Amelia for her great progression this season and for her commitment to playing for both the OCHC girls' U12 and U14 teams.
OCHC are very proud of the U12 girls as they have had a superb season, and it is the first time in over 10 years that a Plymouth Hockey Club team has qualified for the U12 girls' West Area Finals.
Well done 7T! This is a wonderful achievement and excellent teamwork.
